NYC: THE DANA LORGE VARIETY SHOW
The Dana Lorge's Variety Show returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, September 18th at 7:00 pm. Dana is joined by Barry Levitt on piano and Jon Burr on bass. Dana's guest performers includes Singer/ Songwriter Meg Flather; Singer/ Songwriter Tony Babino; Singer/ Songwriter Lisa Jason; Comic Ellen Karis - "The Greek Goddess of Comedy"; and Singer Gloria Waldman. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CABARET CARES CELEBRATES JOSEPH MACCHIA'S 40th BIRTHDAY
Cabaret Cares, the Award Winning benefit series that benefits Help Is On The Way Today, celebrates the 40th Birthday of cabaret producer Joseph Macchia at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, September 18th at 9:30 pm. Maccia also founded Help Is On The Way Today, a non for profit organization that helps children, teens and youth living with HIV and AIDS. Cabaret Cares is a ongoing monthly series that was created to benefit Help Is On The Way Today. Once a month a new show is created and can feature Broadway show casts, up and coming talent and many of the New York Cabaret Community. This month's event will showcase a talent lineup of some of Macchia's favorite performers including: Stacy Sullivan, Lennie Watts, Doreen Montalvo, Fran Leonardis, Ricky Ritzel, Beau Howard, Frank Dain, Chrysten Peddie, Bob Diamond, Tom Gamblin and Marissa Mulder. The evening will also mark the debut of a new theme song for Help Is On The Way Today, written by Dave August. The evening's host will be Jay Rogers and the show will be directed by Gretchen Reinhagen with Tracy Stark as Musical Director. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
