NYC: ERIC COMSTOCK & BARBARA FASANO BRING BACK "SHOULDER SEASON"

Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano•will reprise their best summer holiday moments in a special encore of their critically acclaimed "Shoulder Season" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, July 23rd at 7:00 pm. The well-traveled swinging summer cocktail has already been seen at The Colony Palm Beach, since opening a six-show Met Room major engagement on June 1st. "Shoulder Season" (the phrase is borrowed from the travel industry to describe the off-peak times between high seasons) covers ample ground. Thrown into the couple's steamer trunk is everything from Sinatra to Strayhorn to Springsteen. More dates in the homestand will be announced soon. The celebrated husband-and-wife pop-jazz duo toasted their 10th wedding anniversary last August. Among their many kudos are an impressive three MAC Awards in one year, including Vocal Duo of the Year, Outstanding Female Vocalist and Record of the Year. Fasano's fourth CD, "Busy Being Free" drops this fall. Comstock, a 2015 Bistro Award winner and co-creator and star of the long-running Off-Broadway hit revue "Our Sinatra," recently released his fourth CD, "bitter/sweet." They've been everywhere: Carnegie Hall, The Appel Room and Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, Symphony Space, Feinstein's, The Carlyle, Birdland, Jazz at Kitano, and the 92nd Street Y's "Lyrics and Lyricists" series. Criss-crossing the country they've headlined at Caramoor; Cooperstown Music Festival; Arizona Jazz Festival; Guild Hall in East Hampton; Sheldon Concert Hall and Jazz at The Bistro in St. Louis; Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston; Prince Music Theatre in Philadelphia, and The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. They recently popped up at Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zedel, making their London debut. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
