NYC: CROSSDRESSER FOR CHRIST - THE MUSICAL, A DRAG QUEEN CONFESSIONAL

After an acclaimed debut in May, RuPaul's Drag Race favorite Ginger Minj returns to New York City with 'Crossdresser For Christ - The Musical, A Drag Queen Confessional' at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) opening on Tuesday, June 30th at 9:30 pm. Additional performances are scheduled for Friday, July 3rd at 7:00 pm; Sunday, July 5th at 3:00 pm; Tuesday, July 14th at 7:00 pm; and Sunday, July 19th at 7:00 pm. The show is musical comedy that tracks Ginger Minj's quest for spiritual enlightenment in song and story. Raised as a Southern Baptist in Lake County, Florida the self-described "chubby little lady-boy" gets tired of having hell and damnation shoved down her throat. So she begins her own search for alternative answers. It is a wild and wacky journey that promises to have you on your knees before the night is over. A relig-ish experience. There is a $22-$40 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: ANTHONY LOGAN COLE: YOU'VE HUNGERED FOR THIS ALL YOUR LIFE

The good, the bad, and the Broadway share equal billing in the NY debut of Anthony Logan Cole at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, July 5th at 9:30 pm. Cole (Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Beauty and the Beast) joins with Megan Larsen (South Pacific, Les Miserables, Carousel), Tim Larsen (Les Miserables, South Pacific, Macbeth) and Musical Director Steven Hunter Taylor (South Pacific, Les Miserables) for the NY debut of 'You've Hungered For This All Your Life,' which recently had an acclaimed run at the Coronado Playhouse in San Diego, CA. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: 54 SINGS 1776 IN REPRISE OF LAST YEAR'S SMASH SHOW

Back for a second smash year, 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) presents '1776" on Saturday & Sunday, July 4th & 5th with performances at 7:00 & 9:30 pm! It is all about patriotism this holiday weekend by spending the evening with our founding fathers! 54 Below is delighted to wave our flag proudly at this most beloved Broadway score when some of New York's most exciting voices proffer these uniquely American tunes. Featured are Abigail Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Martha Jefferson, John Adams - they're all descending upon the 54 BELOW stage for what promises to be the perfect theatrical fit for the Fourth of July! Performers include Michael Halling (The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Boy From Oz, The Pajama Game), Jacob Hoffman (The Vineyard's I'll Be Damned), Rob Maitner (Ground UP's Asymmetric), Daniel Marcus (1776 Revival, Urinetown, The Woman In White), David Alan Marshall (former member of Grammy Award winning Chanticleer), Michael McCormick (1776 Revival, Curtains, Chaplin), Patrick Mellen (Lestat), Kathleen Monteleone (Hands On A Hardbody), Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera, Bedbugs The Musical), Andrew Samonsky (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, South Pacific, Scandalous), Adam Shapiro (HBO's "The Normal Heart"), Lucia Spina (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Les Miserables) and Paul Michael Valley (1776 Revival, Silence! NYC: BIRDLAND JAZZ PARTY HOSTED BY CAROLE BUFFORD

Birdland's very own jazz quartet hits the stage every Sunday to wrap up the weekend with jazz classics featuring jazz vocalist Carole J. Bufford at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) at 6:00 pm. Carole J. Bufford has become a sought after young performer in the New York cabaret & jazz scene. Her recent shows, "speak easy." (featuring the Grammy Award-winning Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks) and "Body & Soul" earned her rave reviews across the board She is the recipient several awards for Outstanding Vocalist. She has traveled all over the US (The Colony's Royal Room - Palm Beach; Venetian Room - Dallas; Cabaret 313 - Detroit; Broadway By The Bay - San Mateo; Upright Cabaret - L.A.) and recently made her London Debut to great critical acclaim. Recently, Carole was featured in Michael Feinstein's Great American Songbook series at Jazz at Lincoln Center. She has been spotlighted in numerous "Broadway By The Year" concerts, both at The Town Hall and in California. There is a $30 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
