LONDON: THE PHEASANTRY PRESENTS THE BEVIN BOYS

THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) presents The Bevin Boys on Monday, May 4th at 8:30 pm. The Bevin Boys sound is rooted in 1940s post-war Britain, as the sound of big bands was replaced by small combos often with new, exciting and revolutionary sound of the electric guitar. Great American Songbook tunes were combined with the emerging influence of the bebop and R&B sounds that dominated the US music scene. This is where the Bevin Boys pick up the story following the legacy of the great Ray Ellington (Yes Ray, not The Duke) you will be amazed to hear this vocal-lead trio swing hard and then - with equal ease and panache - move you with beautiful ballads. Call for cover/minimum information.
