The stories are intertwined with a variety of music featuring standards from the Great American Songbook, Broadway, and some funny and original parody's. The show received great reviews and standing ovations recently at Davenport's in Chicago, the Skokie Theatre in Skokie, and the Empire Stage in Ft. Lauderdale. LOS ANGELES: KRITZERLAND: FROM BERLIN TO ROME!

Kritzerland Upstairs at Sterling's presents "From Berlin to Rome" on Sunday, May 3rd at 7:00 pm at STERLING'S AT THE FEDERAL (5303 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA - 818-754-8700), As always, the cast includes some of the best voices in town, including Brittney Bertier, Sydney DeMaria, Damon Kirsche, Madison Claire Parks, Adrienne Visnic, and Robert Yacko with Music Director John Boswell . Special guest is Terri White. For their 57th Kritzerland show the cast become Kritzerland globetrotters, traveling the musical world from Berlin to Rome - that is, the amazing musical world of Irving Berlin and Harold Rome. One is one of the most beloved songwriters of all time, the other is a great songwriter who's mostly not remembered these days, but who should be. And the two of them share May as their birth month. For the Berlin part of our journey, you'll hear some of his greatest classics, along with a few you might not know. For the Rome part of our journey, you'll hear songs from Call Me Mister, Wish You Were Here, Fanny, Pins and Needles, I Can Get It for You Wholesale and his infamous musical version of Gone With the Wind. The 1960s revival of Pins and Needles along with I Can Get It for You Wholesale introduced to the world Barbra Streisand. Mr. Rome's songs have been sung by most of the great singers, and one special treat is his classic "South America, Take It Away" - originally introduced by Betty Garrett and in our show sung by Miss Garrett's granddaughter. Both Berlin and Rome were extraordinary writers of both music and lyrics, and this evening will be a tuneful delight. Kritzerland is produced and hosted by Bruce Kimmel and co-produced by Adryan Russ. There is a $20 cover.
