Roberto Fonseca will perform at THE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel(1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757) on Thursday, October 30th at 7:30 pm. When Roberto plays, the music seeps from every pore in his body, at times on stage he stands and hammers the piano as if it were a percussion instrument or he grabs a drum and transforms his group into a comparsa - the Cuban carnival groups that parade the streets once a year - and gets the audiences dancing euphorically. YO, Fonseca's new album, continues this party like never before. Recognized as a major influence on modern Cuban jazz, and jazz in general, he proves that his horizons are not limited by the subtleties of jazz, nor to just the Caribbean. There is a $25 cover.

Indeed, Albright was one of the ten featured saxophonists who performed at President Clinton's inauguration. He was also featured at the Presidential Summit, as well as several private functions for the President. Albright had sold over 1,000,000 albums in the U.S. alone. His self-produced music features him on bass guitar, keyboards, flutes, drum programming, and background vocals. Gerald has definitely earned the reputation as the "musician's musician."
