CABARET TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: THE MARK WINKLER PROJECT! AT THE GARDENIA
Over the last year or so, Mark Winkler has been writing lyrics for lots of new songs and "Winkler-izing" some standards and now he presents "The Mark Winkler Project!; at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday, November 22nd at 9:00 pm. There are new songs about Cats playing the piano, his love of Barbra Streisand, Rainbows with an extra color or two and a song he wrote inspired by one of my favorite Diane Arbus photographs. Plus he'll be singing Jule Styne, Nat King Cole and yes maybe a Winkler favorite thrown in for good measure. There'll be lots of surprises, and Mark is backed up by three of his favorite musicians - Jamieson Trotter on Piano, Tim Emmons on Bass and Peter Buck on drums. There is a $20 cover.
