PlazaCUBA presents Wil Campa y su Gran Union, a12-piece Cuban Son orchestra led by Wil Campa (formerly of Maraca and Cumbre) atYOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Saturday, August 10th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Wil Campa represents the very best of Cuban Son. The music that lives in his soul! His voice will capture and embrace you, with an undeniable, engaging stage presence and heralded as one Cuba's leading artists. In 2005 Wil formed what is known today as one of Cuba's elite groups WIL CAMPA Y SU ORQUESTA. Releasing two albums, one in 2006 "ES TIEMPO" and 2011 "TODO ES POSIBLE," winning him a nomination for BEST ALBUM 2012 at the CUBADISCO (Cuba's equivalent of the Grammy's). WIL CAMPA Y SU ORCHESTRA have been touring extensively nationally (eg. Havana Jazz Festival) and Internationally inspiring and introducing thousands of people to Cuba's Musical Royalty.
