CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: LATE NIGHT: THE STUDIO: YOUTH IN A ROMAN FIELD
On Wednesdays at 11:30 pm, THE STUDIO at 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) is the place to see up-and-coming New York talent: comedians, musicians, songwriters, improv groups, just to name a few. Youth in a Roman Field is the project of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Claire Wellin and includes several gorgeous collaborators in Tiffany Topol, Scott Stangland, Cassidy Shea Stirtz, and Patrick Wellin. Influenced by folk, jazz, and classical sounds from both at home and across a sea or two, the group uses guitar, violin, viola, accordion, trumpet, ukelele and voices to tell stories about and to the world. The Youth, who came together in Chicago, released their debut album 'of grit and grace' in May 2013. Claire and Tiffany are in New York rehearsing for the national tour of 'Once,' in which Claire plays 'Reza' and Tiffany stands by for 'The Girl.' There is no cover, just a $20 food/drink minimum.
