SF: SONY HOLLAND IN WELCOME HOME CONCERTS AT THE RRAZZ ROOM
Sony Holland, the acclaimed vocalist who is a longtime San Francisco favorite, will return toRRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189 - ) with a series of concerts to welcome her back to the Bay Area. Performances are Thursday & Friday, June 7th & 8th at 8:00 pm; Saturday, June 9th at 9:00 pm; and Sunday, June 10th at 7:00 pm. Her all-star band will include Andy Langham on piano, David Hughes on bass, Jerry Holland on guitar and Kendall Kay on drums. Ms. Holland has toured Asia, performed in prestigious jazz festivals and in premier nightclubs such as the Blue Note, Catalina's, the Dakota and many more. Yet catching one of her live performances one gets a feeling that the best is yet to come. Her recent CD Sanssouci (Van Ness, 2010) features Sony backed by an organic trio of acoustic guitar, upright bass and djembe drum. There is a $35 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
