MAYNE STAGE (1328 West Morse Avenue, Chicago, IL - 866-468-3401) proudly announces Voices of Chicago, a diverse musical celebration honoring Chicago's 175th anniversary of official incorporation performed by a cast of esteemed Chicago performers for a five concert engagement, Friday & Saturday, March 2nd & 3rd at 8:00 & 10:30 pm and Sunday, March 4th at 7:00 pm. Voices of Chicago is a concert event paying tribute to the great musical styles that make Chicago the City of the Century. Jazz, blues, gospel, folk, pop, and soul were made famous by Chicagoans Dinah Washington, Koko Taylor, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme, Steve Allen, Jule Styne, Thomas Dorsey and Steve Goodman among others. An all-star cast of Chicago's top nightclub vocalists comprise Voices of Chicago: Kimberly Gordon, Skip Griparis, Jeff Hedberg, Lynne Jordan, Mark Madsen, Liz Mandeville, Isiah Mitchell, Daryl Nitz, Denise Tomasello and special guest, the legendary Audrey Morris, complete the cast with musical direction by Beckie Menzie and Nick Christensen on percussion. Each vocalist is deeply rooted in Chicago music and has garnered many rave reviews and accomplishments.
