NYC: SIGALI HAMBERGER WITH A TOAST TO AVA GARDNER
Sigali Hamberger returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, February 26th at 4:00 pm with an encore performance of A TOAST TO AVA GARDNER. Inspired by the life of one of the 20thcentury's most alluring screen goddesses, and drawing heavily from the American songbook, the set for this performance extends far beyond the music from Ava's films, and reflects on her life as a femme fatale both on and off the screen. Sigali is a classically trained, dramatic soprano, who favors a repertoire of classic American Songbook standards, art songs, and Broadway gems. Accompanying Sigali on the piano is acclaimed Juilliard-trained pianist and composer, Ido Alexander, who also serves as the show's Musical Director & Arranger.
