NYC: ALICIA HALL MORAN & JASON MORAN AT CAFE SABARSKY
A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT

CAFE SABARSKY AT NEUE GALERIE (1048 Fifth Avenue, NYC - 212-288-0665) continues its unique series devoted primarily to German and Austrian music of the 1890s to 1930s, some of the most vibrant and innovative music created in the modern era. On Thursday, March 31st, performers are mezzo-soprano Alicia Hall Moran and her husband, acclaimed pianist Jason Moran. The duo are each other's collaborators, accompanists, and creative inspiration. For their long-anticipated return to Cafe Sabarsky, they will perform "Lulu & Lola: Dangerous Women," transporting their listeners to the Weimar Era through stories of its most winsome femmes fatales. Operated by Kurt Gutenbrunner, chef and owner of the renowned restaurant Wallse, Cabaret at Cafe Sabarsky offers a gourmet three-course prix-fixe dinner preceding every performance. All performances are at 9:00 pm, preceded by a prix-fixe dinner at 7:00 pm. Combined cost is $110 (dinner $65, performance $45; purchased together).
