S.F.: KATYA SMIRNOFF-SKYY GOES BACK TO THE U.S.S.R. (VIA THE RRAZZ ROOM)

San Francisco's favorite Russian red-head, the Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy brings her latest cabaret spectacular, "Back In The USSR, A Voyage Into The Beatles' Songbook" to RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189 - ) on Friday, October 29th at 10:30 pm. This musical adventure examines the music of the fab four as only Russia's (self-proclaimed) Greatest Mezzo-Soprano understudy turned Countess, turned Macy's cosmetic counter lady could envision. It's Abby Road meets the Met with a good dose of cabaret. Katya will be joined by her marvelous band, the Tom Shaw Trio. Named Best Drag act 2008 by the San Francisco Bay Guardian and best actor in a musical by the Bay Area Theater Critics Association, J. Conrad Frank (writer and Life Coach for Ms. Smirnoff) has worked with the Countess since her arrival in San Francisco five years ago. As Katya, Conrad has shown his wit and vocal stylings in countless nightclubs, bars and events across San Francisco, and performed in Provincetown. Tickets are $25 with a 2-drink minimum.
