TODAY IN L.A.: NEW MONTHLY SERIES ANNOUNCED "KRITZERLAND AT THE GARDENIA"
THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) will present a new series of shows, Kritzerland at the Gardenia, on the first Wednesday of every month, starting on September 1st, at 9:00 pm. Kritzerland is record producer Bruce Kimmel's label, and the first series of shows will be based on the outstanding albums Kimmel has produced. The first show is based on the four-volume set of "Lost in Boston" CDs, songs from hit shows which were subsequently cut or replaced and heard only out of town or in previews. Songs from shows like PROMISES, PROMISES, CHICAGO, APPLAUSE, 110 IN THE SHADE, I DO! I DO! SWEET CHARITY, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, BALLROOM, GYPSY and others. And for this first show, they'll be performed by Jason Graae, Damon Kirsche, Lesli Margherita, Pamela Myers, and Alet Taylor. Musical director is Shelly Markham.
