TODAY IN N.Y.STATE: TALENT TRIALS WINNERS' CABARET AT FORT SALEM
The CABARET AT FORT SALEM THEATER (11 East Broadway, Salem, NY - 518-854-9200 - ), in collaboration with the Salem Courthouse Community Center, announce the Talent Winners' Cabaret, to be held Friday and Saturday evenings, August 27th and 28th, at 8:00 pm in the theater's cabaret space. Performers include youth winner Kellin Campbell of Cambridge and Brooklyn, New York,, teen winner Morgan Renee Hall of Cambridge, and Patty Mansmith of Salem. Sarah Rogers (Hebron) was also an adult winner, but is unable to participate in the evening because she has returned to Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.
The Courthouse Talent Trials have been an entertainment staple in the county for the past seven years, and for four summers, the prize for the winners has been a cabaret experience at Fort Salem Theater, complete with coaching from Fort Artistic Director Jay Kerr, whose resume includes coaching and recording with Broadway and Hollywood stars and Tony Award winners. Reservations are suggested for the Talent Winners' Cabaret, and may be made by calling the Fort's box office at 518-854-9200. The $20 price of admission includes a $5 credit toward coffee and dessert.
