NYC: JOHN HOGLUND PRESENTS CALLING ALL ANGELS 2 *** FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT

NYC: JOHN HOGLUND PRESENTS CALLING ALL ANGELS 2
FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT

John Hoglund will present "Calling All Angels 2" for two special Fridays, on August 13th and 20th at 7:00 pm at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 -  ). The two evenings are emergency benefits for cabaret's own Gregory Kennell and will offer some of today's outstanding artists from cabaret and theater. Hosted by John, the lineup at press time includes: Yanna Avis, Esther Beckman, Jill Cohen, Baby Jane Dexter, Tim DiPasqua, Helen Klass, Jose Luis, Richard Malavet, Mark Nadler, David Pellegrene, Rob Langeder, Sidney Myer, Sarah Rice and Marcus Simeone. Barry Levitt serves as Musical Director. Additional artists TBA. This is not the first time the cabaret community has rallied for one of its own. Former MAC board of director and cabaret entrepreneur Gregory Kennell fell ill last November. He remained in a coma for almost two month. Today, he has regained very limited use of motor skills. Extensive occupational therapy and daily care is needed for him to progress. All proceeds from these evenings go directly into a fund to assist Greg's treatment and recovery process. For those unable to attend but wishing to help, checks may be made payable directly to Gregory Kennell to be deposited into his fund. There is a $29 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
