S.F.AREA: BBQ & SOUL SAUCE AT BIRD'S NEST JAZZ
BIRD'S NEST JAZZ at WATERPARK LOFTS (2875 Glascock Street #109, Oakland, CA - 510-534-6163) presents jazz in an intimate setting the last Sunday of the month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Seating is first come, first served. On Sunday, June 27th, the club will present SOUL SAUCE for their season closer. This quintet has a core sound of Latin Jazz, but you'll also hear Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Cuban and straight ahead jazz as well. Comprised of co-leaders Jon Ericksen on vibes, & Curt Moore on drums, with Rich Kuhns, piano, Rich Girard, bass and Michelle Goerlitz, percussion adding layers of color and sparkle. Before the show there will be a pot-luck BBQ on the deck by the water. Bring a side dish or something to throw on the grill. $25 cover includes food & beverage. Call for directions.
