NYC: ANOTHER HUNDRED PEOPLE: SULLIVAN & HARNAR SING SONDHEIM: ACT TWO
KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar return to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on four Wednesdays in July with their new show 'Another Hundred People: Sullivan & Harnar Sing Sondheim: Act Two'. Performance dates are Tuesdays, September 8th, 15th & 22nd; Monday, October 12th - all shows at 7:00 pm. Act Two is a companion piece to last summer's Act One "Our Time". Musical Director is Jon Weber and the show is directed by Sondra Lee. As two of the world's most acclaimed cabaret artists, KT Sullivan (Broadway: The Threepenny Opera, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; Cabaret: Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, the Oak Room at the Algonquin, The Kennedy Center) and Jeff Harnar (Cabaret venues across the world including Carnegie Hall, and winner of the 2012 Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award) perform more Sondheim classics giving a new insight into the timeless music of Stephen Sondheim. There is a $30 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: BRONWYN RUCKER & FRIENDS: A READING OF SURVIVAL NYC
Bronwyn Rucker & Friends are having a reading of Survival NYC as a benefit for the Wounded Warrior Project at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 pm. Readers are: Michael Beau, Jason Ellis, Michael Fairbairn, Aaron Morishita, John Philip, Jay Rogers, Bronwyn Rucker, Henry Segovia, Evelyn Sullivan, Robert K.Taylor, and Alfredo Wilson. 100% of cover goes to the Wounded Warrior Project. The suggested Donation is $20 (plus 2 drink minimum), however it is a suggestion, whatever you can contribute is most appreciated.
NYC: STING*CHRONICITY WITH ROSEMARY LOAR
STING*chronicity, with Rosemary Loar will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 pm. The show offers a combination of monologues with a variety of musical arrangements of the music of the contemporary songwriter, Sting. The show is "set" in Madison Square Garden on the occasion of the final reunion concert of the iconic band, The Police, which was headed by Sting. STING*chronicity surveys the diverse audience, and their very varied interpretations of his music as the words of his songs are filtered by their unique lives and experiences. The show includes many of Sting's most popular and including "Message In A Bottle", "Moon Over Bourbon Street," "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," "Roxanne," "Every Breath You Take." as well as some lesser known songs, like "Ghost Story," a song from Sting's Broadway show, The Last Ship. Monologues were provided by some of New York's most impressive playwrights: Diana Amsterdam, Mike Folie, Matt Hoverman, Cheryl Stern, Robert W. Atwood and Rosemary Loar, plus a charming offering from 13 year old Mia Katz. Loar conceived, directed and starred in the popularThe Alternative Torch series at Symphony Space from 2004-2006. As a recording artist, she can be heard on Sting's soundtrack for the movie The Emperor's New Groove, the cast albums of Chess and Sunset Boulevard and on The Listening Library Series. Last year she release of her sixth album, When Harry Met The Duke, a tribute to Duke Ellington and Harold Arlen. Barry Kleinbort who recently received rave reviews for directing John Epperson: Show Trash off-Broadway is at the director's helm. Renowned jazz artist/pianist and arranger Frank Ponzio will serve as musical director and will be joined by jazz bassist Tom Hubbard. Ms. Loar's extensive musical theater credits include a critically acclaimed turn as Grizabella in Cats, Sunset Boulevard (with Glenn Close), The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (with John Larroquette in L.A. and Shuler Hensley at Madison Square Garden), You Can't Take It With You, and Chess, as well as Once Upon A Mattress with Sarah Jessica Parker. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: ROBERT CREIGHTON AT 54 BELOW
Robert Creighton returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 pm. Creighton was awarded a 2014 Bistro Award as Outstanding Entertainer for his last appearance here. An actor, singer, dancer, writer, and composer, Robert does it all! He was most recently seen starring in York Theatre Company's Cagney, where he also wrote the music and lyrics. A veteran of the stage, Robert has been seen in the original Broadway companies of the revivals of The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Anything Goes, as well as The Little Mermaid and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. In 2012, Robert released his first solo album Ain't We Got Fun! There is a $30-%65 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
NYC: 54 BELOW PRESENTS WHITNEY BASHOR
Whitney Bashor celebrates songstresses of the 1960s and 1970s at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, September 15th at 9:30 pm. Whitney wowed Broadway audiences last season as Marian/ Chiara in the new musical The Bridges of Madison County, singing Jason Robert Brown's "Another Life." Whitney promises to wow audiences with an electric evening of selections written indeed by Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, and other revered female writers of yesteryear. This Clarence Derwent Award winner comes to 54 Below straight from starring in the Broadway-bound musical Beaches in Chicago. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
NYC: DAN FINNERTY & THE DAN BAND AT JOE'S PUB
Dan Finnerty, who caught America's attention as the foul-mouthed wedding singer in the box-office smash Old School by performing his now-infamous rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart, as well as his appearance as the sleazy bat-mitzvah singer in Starsky & Hutch and again as the inappropriate wedding singer in the record breaking hit The Hangover, will perform at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 pm. What started as a drunken joke for Finnerty singing I Am Woman at a karaoke bar has spiraled out of control into THE DAN BAND - a cult phenomenon that has garnered rave reviews from The New York Times, The L.A. Times, Variety, Rolling Stone among others. THE DAN BAND plays to sold out crowds from Los Angeles to New York and has appeared on numerous shows including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen, The Late Late Show, Last Call with Carson Daly, Last Comic Standing, The Guys Choice Awards and caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who signed on to executive produce Dan's one hour concert special "The Dan Band: I Am Woman," directed by McG. Finnerty, a recurring correspondent on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and former member of the group STOMP, has released two CDs, "THE DAN BAND LIVE" followed by "HO - A DAN BAND CHRISTMAS," and is currently working on a third for Comedy Central Records called "The Wedding Album." Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra play an edgy brand of jazz/ folk/ alternative nosh with a chewy singer-songwriter center at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Tuesday, September 15th at 9:30 pm. With melancholy wit and a cockeyed worldview, sepia-toned frontman Lipton and band mates Eben Levy (guitar), Ian Riggs (bass) and Vito Dieterle (sax) deliver songs steeped in mixed-message sincerity and soul. The band has appeared at Celebrate Brooklyn, MASS MOCA, Bryant Park, the Camden Opera House, Tangier (LA), Vermont Arts Exchange, and has been featured on NPR and radio stations around the country.
