CHICAGO: EMILY WEST AT DAVENPORT'S

After moving to Nashville at 18, she enjoyed some success as a country music artist. In search of a clean slate, she packed a bag for New York City. Emily West is a musical maverick in the masquerade of pin-up perfection. Musically captivating and innovative, she knows she has been a hard case for the industry to define. Judy, Barbara, Patsy, Rufus Wainwright, Antony & the Johnson's. I love to interpret a song. I love to sing stories." Earlier this year, she made the decision to try out for America's Got Talent. "I thought maybe if I audition in front of the world, I could save time and see where it takes me. " It was a wise decision. West excelled on the National stage and came in second in the renowned competition- a result she hopes will allow herto play to the breadth of audience she's always wanted, and to take them with her on this exciting journey.
