HOTLINE MEMBER CABARET EVENT TONIGHT IN NYC: BROADWAY NEWCOMER DANIELLE HERBERT PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE LEGENDARY EARTHA KITT AT DON'T TELL MAMA
Singer/Actor Danielle Herbert, last seen on Broadway in the Tony-nominated Broadway hit AFTER MIDNIGHT, will debut her one-woman tribute "EARTHA KITT: I'M STILL HERE!" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Monday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. Herbert was recently featured in season 3 of the hit Netflix TV series, Orange is the New Black, as "Babs Babson." Prior to that, she made her Broadway debut in the hit Duke Ellington musical, AFTER MIDNIGHT, where she covered a rotating roster of guest-stars, including Fantasia Barrinno, K.D Lang, Toni Braxton, Vanessa Williams, and Patti Labelle. She starred for one week in her own right and also stepped in for Broadway star Adriane Lenox, showcasing her comedic chops. Herbert has also sung back-up vocals for Grammy-winning R&B singer Jill Scott. For the cat-friendly and curious-minded, "EARTHA KITT: I'M STILL HERE!" will showcase Kitt's music ranging from her more obscure tunes to the most iconic songs that put her on the map, while sharing humorous anecdotes from her life. Acclaimed jazz/cabaret performers Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano have been instrumental in helping Herbert build the show from scratch. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
