NYC: JACKIE DRAPER - MOONLIGHT PROPAGANDA - NOVEMBER 20th

Jackie Draper reprises her show "Moonlight Propaganda" at  THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, November 20th at 1:00 pm Moonlight Propaganda features songs in English, French, and Italian, illumine themes of moonlit, mesmeric magic and how to recognize and avoid its pitfalls or fall happily headlong under its spell. Musical guides include composers and lyricists Johnny Mandel, Alan & Marilyn Bergman, Harry Warren, Harry Revel, Mack Gordon, The Gershwins, Michel Legrand, Lorraine Feather, Matt Malneck, Sammy Cahn, Gus Kahn, Vernon Duke, Mel Brooks, Benny Carter, McCoy Tyner, Henry Mancini, and Johnny Mercer. Jackie's musical team includes Music Director Gregory Toroian at the piano; Ritt Henn on bass; Robbyn Tongue on woodwinds. Special appearances by two dapper dancers: Franklin Ayala, Milo Saidl. Kimberly Vaughn directs. There is an $18 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: BROADWAY NEWCOMER DANIELLE HERBERT PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE LEGENDARY EARTHA KITT AT DON'T TELL MAMA - NOVEMBER 20th

Singer/Actor Danielle Herbert, last seen on Broadway in the Tony-nominated Broadway hit AFTER MIDNIGHT, will debut her one-woman tribute "EARTHA KITT: I'M STILL HERE!" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Friday, November 18th at 9:30 pm and Sunday, November 20th at 3:00 pm. Herbert was recently featured in season 3 of the hit Netflix TV series, Orange is the New Black, as "Babs Babson." Prior to that, she made her Broadway debut in the hit Duke Ellington musical, AFTER MIDNIGHT, where she covered a rotating roster of guest-stars, including Fantasia Barrinno, K.D Lang, Toni Braxton, Vanessa Williams, and Patti Labelle. She starred for one week in her own right and also stepped in for Broadway star Adriane Lenox, showcasing her comedic chops. Herbert has also sung back-up vocals for Grammy-winning R&B singer Jill Scott. For the cat-friendly and curious-minded, "EARTHA KITT: I'M STILL HERE!" will showcase Kitt's music ranging from her more obscure tunes to the most iconic songs that put her on the map, while sharing humorous anecdotes from her life. Acclaimed jazz/cabaret performers Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano have been instrumental in helping Herbert build the show from scratch. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MARY FOSTER CONKLIN HOSTS FM RADIO SHOW - SUNDAYS ON THE WEB - NOVEMBER 20th

Jazz/cabaret vocalist Mary Foster Conklin continues on WFDU 89.1 FM, hosting a weekly show every Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm (Eastern Time), streaming on their HD2 channel, Jazz and What's More. You can find it on the internet at http://www.wfdu.fm - and clicking on the "Listen to HD2" button. You'll be given a player for your device and will hear the channel instantly. There's also a free app you can download for both iPhone and Android. The program is called "A Broad Spectrum" and offers up an assortment of music by Women Who Inspire - Writers, Composers, Instrumentalists and Vocalists (there will be airplay of male artists too, in the Honorable Men-tion slot).
