NYC: ROBIN'S NEST/A BENEFIT FOR HELPUSADOPT.ORG RETURNS ON SEPTEMBER 19TH STARRING KT SULLIVAN WITH SPECIAL GUESTS
FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT

Celebrate the new season at  THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Monday, September 19th at 7:00 pm! Join host and Helpusadopt.org board member Robin Westle, headliner KT Sullivan and special guest stars Megan McGinnis and Adam Halpin! Sullivan is artistic director of the Mabel Mercer Foundation and multi-award winning cabaret artist. She performed the role of 'Lorelei Lee' in the Broadway revival of of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, as well as 'Sulky Tawdry' in the Broadway revival of The Threepenny Opera. Megan McGinnis is currently starring in the west coast premiere of 'Sense and Sensibility' and is known for her Broadway roles as 'Beth' in Little Women, 'Belle' in Beauty and the Beast, and 'Eponine' in Les Miz, Broadway shows Thoroughly Modern Millie, Side Show and Parade, and for creating the role of 'Jerusha Abott' in the musical adaptation of Daddy Long Legs. Adam Halpin is known on Broadway for Glory Days, off Broadway for Rent and Dogfight, National tours of Kinky Boots and Rent, and for playing the role of 'Jervis' in the musical adaptation of Daddy Long Legs. Featured guests are Arthur L Ross (Broadway and national tour of Elf) and Isaiah Feil-Sharp (student at Professional Performing Arts HS at Rosie's Kids Musical Theatre Program).

This will be an unforgettable night of song and story to benefit Helpusadopt.org. Complete biographies will be available at the show. HelpUsAdopt.org, founded in 2007, is a national 501c3 adoption grant program. The organization is the only one of its kind in the United States that embodies all of the following criteria:

• awards large life-changing and problem-solving grants up to $15,000 that help families complete their adoptions -supports all types of families (married couples, single parent and LGBT families)
• supports all types of adoptions (domestic, international, foster care) supports all types of religions without requiring a statement of faith
• does not charge applicants to apply

Helpusadopt.org's average grant is approximately $8,500 and since the organization's launch in 2007, Helpusadopt.org has helped to build more than 175 families by awarding over $1,500,000 in total adoption grants. NYC: JAMIE DEROY AND FRIENDS STAR-STUDDED CABARET TO BENEFIT THE ACTORS FUND
FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT

Show business tour de force Jamie deRoy brings her star-packed Jamie deRoy & friends cabaret show to New York's famed  BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080), on Sunday, October 16th, at 6:00 pm. Performers include Brandon Victor Dixon, Julie Gold, Julie Halston, Marilyn Maye and Steven Scott. The one-night only event is part of the club's Broadway at Birdland Concert Series. Proceeds from the concert, produced by Ms. deRoy, will benefit The Actors Fund: Jamie deRoy & friends Cabaret Initiative, an endeavor that assists those in the cabaret industry who have medical needs and concerns. Ms. deRoy, a three-time Tony Award recipient, hosts the show and welcomes:

Brandon Victor Dixon, now starring as Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway. His other Broadway credits include Shuffle Along (Tony nomination), Motown The Musical (Grammy and Drama League Award nominations) and The Color Purple (Tony nomination). He starred as Simba in the national tour of The Lion King.

Julie Gold, a singer/ songwriter, best known for Bette Midler's version of "From a Distance," for which Ms. Gold won a Grammy (Song of the Year). Her songs have been performed by artists including Patti LaBelle, Patti LuPone, Cliff Richard, The Byrds, Kathie Lee Gifford, Lea Salonga and Jewel.

Julie Halston, the award-winning Broadway and off-Broadway actress who has given standout performances in You Can't Take It With You, Anything Goes, Hairspray, Gypsy, The Twentieth Century, The Divine Sister and Red Scare on Sunset, among others. Ms. Halston next stars in the Lincoln Center Theater production of the new play, The Babylon Line, which begins previews Nov. 10.

Marilyn Maye, 88-year-old icon of the American songbook whose performances been described as master classes in singing. Ms. Maye appeared on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" 76 times, more than any other singer. The Smithsonian Institution selected her recording of "Too Late Now" for its album of the 110 Best American Compositions of the 20th century. Grammy-winning Musical Conductor Billy Stritch will accompany Ms. Maye on the piano.

Steven Scott, a comedian described as a perfect mix between Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Carrey. Performing in venues from Broadway to Las Vegas to other countries, Mr. Scott's comedy combines clever observations of everyday life with an array of vocal talents ranging from celebrities to musical instruments.

Composer, Book Writer and Lyricist Barry Kleinbort directs Ms. deRoy's October 16 event with musical direction by Ron Abel, the award-winning arranger, orchestrator and conductor. Tom Hubbard will be on bass and Ray Marchica on drums. Ms. deRoy is an acclaimed producer; cabaret, stage, film and TV performer; recording artist and humanitarian. Her Jamie deRoy and friends cabaret series has been attracting New York audiences for 25-years. Her cable television show spotlights well-known entertainers and newcomers. In addition to Tony Awards, Ms. deRoy has won eight MAC Awards, four Back Stage Bistro Awards and 11 Telly Awards for her extensive work on stage and screen. She has appeared on stage with luminaries like Joan Rivers and has headlined at many New York nightclubs. Jamie has produced nine CDs in the Jamie deRoy & friends series, all of which are available on Harbinger and PS Classics labels. There is a $35-60 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
