HOTLINE MEMBER CABARET EVENT JUNE 19th IN NYC: MARIANA COELHO - FROM BRASIL TO BROADWAY

On Sunday, June 19th, at 7:00 pm, Brazilian actor/ dancer/ singer Mariana Coelho will tell the story behind her journey in New York in her show entitled From 'Brasil to Broadway' at DON'T TELL MAMA(343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788). This cabaret concert will also feature her friends Mariana Lilla, Matias Polar, Gabrielle Santo, Juliana Suaide and Jack Trinco in super fun, exciting and emotional duets. Mariana began her career in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after getting an acting degree at the renowned carioca acting school Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras (CAL). In the summer of 2010, Mariana moved to NYC to pursue her international career. After completing a 2 year conservatory program at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, she immediately started working in the Off-Broadway circuit. Her theatrical credits include the title role of Juliet in a modern version of the famous play, written by William Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet; the lead role of Sonia in the monologue play Valsa n•6, written by one of the most important Brazilian playwrights Nelson Rodrigues; the starring role of Kattrin in Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and her Children; the lead role of Mother in Solomon's Way (2013 Legros Cultural Arts Festival winner); the lead Role of Ruth in A Moment in Time (sponsored by the ALS Foundation); the starring role of Elmire in a modern version of Moliere's Tartuffe, just to name a few. Her most recent accomplishment was to be hired to perform as the leading actress of an innovative project by the nonprofit Casa Para Cultura e Artes (Casa PACA) that will bring plays written by the most important Brazilian playwrights to be performed in New York. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
