CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: PEGGY KING & THE ALL-STAR JAZZ TRIO
Jazz songstress "pretty, perky Peggy King" performs at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Monday, December 30th at 7:00 pm. King is one of the few, certifiable legends of the stage, screen, television and nightclubs still among us, having worked with everyone from Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis to Andre Previn and Harry James. For more than four decades, the hard-driving All-Star Jazz Trio-pianist Andy Kahn, drummer Bruce Klauber and bassist Bruce Kamsinky-have been known, instrumentally and vocally, for their charismatic brand of swing and showmanship. The legendary Peggy King joins The All-Stars for her star turn, singing songs from the Great American Songbook and telling of her close personal relationships with many of the Songbook composers, and of her singular career in show business. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
