SF: BETTY BUCKLEY IN "AH MEN! THE BOYS OF BROADWAY"

RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189) presents the return of Tony Award-winning singer and actress Betty Buckley from Tuesday through Friday, October 30th through November 2nd at 8:00 pm; Saturday, November 3rd at 7:00 & 9:30 pm; Sunday, November 4th at 7:00 pm. This special one-week engagement marks the Bay Area debut of her show "Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway," based on her new CD. Buckley will perform men's songs from Broadway shows that she has always wanted to sing, including numbers from Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Pippin, Mame and La Cage Aux Folles. Buckley was selected as a 2012 Inductee into the Theatre Hall of Fame for Lifetime Achievement in the American Theater. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella, the Glamour Cat, in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats. She received her second Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a musical for her performance as Hesione in Triumph Of Love, and an Olivier Award nomination for her interpretation of Norma Desmond in the London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard, which she repeated to more rave reviews on Broadway. Her other Broadway credits include 1776, Pippin, Song And Dance, The Mystery Of Edwin Drood and Carrie. Off-Broadway credits include Lincoln Center's Elegies, the original NYSF production of Edwin Drood, White's Lies, The Eros Trilogy and Juno Swans. Regional credits include Gypsy, Threepenny Opera, Camino Real and Buffalo Gal. She starred in the London production of Promises, Promises. There is a $45-$60 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
