NYC: UPTOWN EXPRESS PRESENTS "SH-BOOM!"
Uptown Express (Chris Caswell, Larry Gabbard, Jaymes Hodges, and Brad Parks), the Bistro Award winning and 7-time MAC-award nominated male vocal pops quartet, will bring their new show, "Sh-Boom!" to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Wednesday, June 20th at 7:00 pm. Under the musical direction of James Followell, Uptown Express has been delighting audiences with a repertoire culled from 80 years of amazing pop music, playing cabaret venues around New York City and beyond. Feel the explosion of love with songs from such diverse artists as The Alley Cats, The Beach Boys, Bruno Mars, Leonard Cohen, Jason Mraz, Michael Buble, Paul McCartney, and more. Musical Direction / Piano/Arrangements by James Followell, with Dan Gross on drums and Sean Conly on bass. From Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer, to Elton John and Melissa Etheridge, the music of Uptown Express lifts the spirits, sets feet tapping, hands clapping, and imparts social messages of hope and tolerance wherever and whenever they perform. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
