Jazz cabaret duo Ann Osmond & Dennis Yerry sing songs that celebrate the indomitable human spirit as it searches for love and meaning along the bumpy road of life at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, January 25th at 7:00 pm. Their show "Optimistic Voices" includes songs from Gershwin to Sondheim to Jobim to Stevie Wonder,and their eclectic program includes music spanning many decades and styles. The duo, formed just over a year ago, has built an enthusiastic following, performing to sell-out crowds throughout the Hudson Valley. Ann Osmondis a singer/actor with roots in the theatre and Dennis Yerry is an accomplished jazz pianist and composer. Their unique arrangements and rich harmonies have a fresh energy and an air of timeless elegance. In the tradition of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, they share the spotlight and the blend of their voices is a rare treat.
