PA: "TWO FOR THE ROAD" WITH CALLAWAY & ROSENTHAL
Platinum Award winning singer/songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway teams up with world renowned jazz pianist Ted Rosenthal, for "Two For The Road", a musical pas de deux of unforgettable songs at BOB EGAN'S NEW HOPE - SUPPER CLUB AND CABARET(6426 Lower York Road, Route 202, New Hope, PA - 215-862-5225) on Friday & Saturday, August 12th & 13th at 8:30 pm. As a champion of the great American Songbook, Ann Hampton Callaway has made her mark as a singer, pianist, composer, lyricist, arranger, actress, educator, TV host and producer. A born entertainer, her unique singing style blends jazz and traditional pop, making her a mainstay in concert halls, theaters and jazz clubs as well as in the recording studio, on television, and in film. She is best known for Tony-nominated performance in the hit Broadway musical Swing! and for writing and singing the theme song to the hit TV series The Nanny. Ted Rosenthal has performed worldwide as a soloist, leader and sideman with many jazz greats, including Gerry Mulligan, Art Farmer, Phil Woods, Bob Brookmeyer, James Moody and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. Winner of the 1988 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition, Rosenthal has released twelve CDs as a leader; his latest, "Impromptu," features jazz reimaginings of classical themes. There is a $45 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
