NYC: MARK NADLER PRESENTS CRAZY 1961
Piano wizard Mark Nadler brings his show "Crazy 1961" to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Thursday, May 26th at 9:30 pm. 1961 gave us songs like Crazy, Moon River and, appropriately - It Was A Very Good Year. Just as JFK was being sworn in as president, The Beatles gave their first public performance. Judy Garland did her historic concert at Carnegie Hall and Barbra Streisand made her first TV appearance. The first man in outer space, (not to mention the first monkey), the Freedom Riders and the erecting of the Berlin Wall are just some of the events of this extraordinary year. 1961 saw the births of Princess Di, Barack Obama, George Clooney and ... oh, yes: Mark Nadler. Celebrate Mark's first half-century with him by reliving the songs and events of the year in which he arrived on Planet Earth. There is a $25 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
