TODAY IN L.A.: GLORIA CALOMEE AT THE GARDENIA - ONE NIGHT ONLY
Gloria Calomee, an award-winning actress and international singer who has performed extensively in Europe and the United States, will perform on Thursday, October 14th at 9:00 pm at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444 ). Gloria Calomee has appeared in such famous Paris boites as Les Tois Maillet and Discophage, and played a long stint at American jazz artist Memphis Slim's Paris nightclub, Memphis Melody. She has performed in Portugal at the Casinos of the Algarve as well as at the piano bar Quando O Piano Toca in Lisbon.She was featured on film in The Reivers with Steve McQueen, and in Roller-coaster, with James Caan. She toured as the "Lady in Blue" with the New York Shakespeare Company's National Tour of "For Colored Girls Who've Considered Suicide ..." , and in Iago at the Los Angeles Theater Center.
