On Sunday, December 18th, jazz vocalist Jack Donahue will be appearing at THE BLUE NOTE (131 West 3rd Street, NYC - 212-475-8592) at their famed Jazz Brunch, with sets at 12:30 & 2:30 pm. He will be joined by his band: Randy Ingram, piano; Peter Brendler, bass; Jared Schonig, drums. The show will celebrate the release of Jack's new live recording: "Parade: Live in New York City". Donahue received both the 2008 and 2009 "Best Male Jazz Vocalist" awards from MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets), an Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) award for "Best Male Vocalist", and a Bistro Award. Donahue's last two CD releases, A Small Blue Thing (Two Maples Music) and StrangeWeather (PS Classics), were released to wide critical acclaim. $24.50 includes brunch, show and a drink.

FL: DECEMBER JAZZ FRIDAY CONCERT AT THE FOOSANER MUSEUM OF ART

Jazz vocalist Lorri Hafer and Haferhouse Jazz will be the featured performers at the December Jazz Friday Concert at theFOOSANER MUSEUM OF ART (1463 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, FL - 321-242-0737) on Friday, December 16th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Lorri is currently a radio personality on the Music Of Your Life Radio Network . Joining Lorri will be her husband Mike Hafer on piano, their son Paul Hafer on bass, and Dave Dunscombe on drums. The group will feature songs from the Great American Songbook and a few Christmas favorites as well . Admission is free for museum members, and $10 for non members.

Tony Award winner Alice Ripley will perform solo concerts titled Alice Ripley's Daily Practice at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Tuesday, December 6th, Friday, December 9th, Sunday, December 11th & Friday, December 16th, all shows at 10:30 pm. The concerts will feature what's being billed as an eclectic mix of well known songs and new compositions. Ripley's other stage credits include Side Show, The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard and The Who's Tommy. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
