"An Evening with Jerome" featuring Kern's Best Loved Songs will be presented on Friday & Saturday, February 25th & 26th at 9:00 pm at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444 ). The show features vocalist Jackie Gibson, joined by Musical Director Steve Rawlins with John Hatton on Bass. Special Guest Star is David Johnson. Gibson has received critical acclaim for her jazz interpretations, with a voice compared favorably to singer's including Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. At a young age, Jackie Gibson's life was filled with music, having a father who sang at Hollywood piano bars, like the Villa Capri, and a mother who put her to bed with classical music. When she was 15, she became a part of the LA Folk Rock circuit, playing along side the likes of Joni Mitchell and Melanie, in such venues as The Troubadour and Ciro's. Jackie has since appeared on the stages of Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's, The MBar, Scarlet Tea Room, Stoney Point Piano Bar, Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill, the Redlands Bowl, Barnsdall Park's Garden Theater, and the Kodak Theater. Los Angeles based composer/arranger/pianist Steve Rawlins has arranged music for the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, the Olympics and the Super Bowl as well as artists including: Benny Goodman, Bette Midler and Chaka Kahn. Crooner David Johnson specializes in singing songs from the Golden Age of the Movies on the cabaret circuit. He has done solo shows at Vitello's, Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill, Moving Arts Theatre, The Paul Gleason Theatre in Hollywood. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum or dinner.

San Francisco favorite Carly Ozard brings her show "Somebody to Love: My Musical Tribute to Freddie Mercury" to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 on Friday, February 25th at 7:30 pm. This show is about Freddie Mercury, rock tenor and frontman of Queen,and Carly's love for this performer, who was unstoppable, the man behind one of the most iconic bands of rock history. Carly will be Queen For A Day, paying homage to her musical idol, and sharing historic and unknown facts about Mercury's public and personal lifestyle, with special guest star Katya Smirnoff-Skye and musical direction by Joe Wicht. The show includes popular songs from Queen's extensive repertoire, as well as solo work written by Freddie Mercury without Queen. Rare musical material and collaborations will be featured in this tribute to the rock tenor who flaunted his four-octave range, charmed his audiences, and lived his 45 years to the fullest. They have a great all-girl band with to back them up: Janice Freedman at the piano, Jennifer Vincent on bass, Rosa Avila on drums and Jane Geter on guitar. Together they are the Splendamamas, a new all chick band playing blues, classic rock, jazz, pop, 70's, 80's, requests and whatever else they feel like playing. Singers and musicians are invited to come in a jam along with the gals. Plus, the lovely Barmaids wear Bikinis! Recently Tanya lost her home in a fire. She and her daughters, and her family escaped unharmed, but Tanya and her family lost everything they own. Tanya's home will be rebuilt but it will take months. The evening will feature performances by Marla Green, Tom Gamblin, Eric Michael Gillett, Karen Oberlin, Annie Ross, Mark Nadler, Julie Reyburn, Natalie Douglas, Lennie Watts, Lorinda Lisitza, Mark McCombs, Marilyn Maye, KT Sullivan, Sean Harkness, Patrick DeGennaro, and more to be announced. N.E.: JESSE COOK IN CONCERT AT THE SOMERVILLE THEATRE

On Thursday, February 24th at 8:00 pm, guitarist Jesse Cook and his ensemble will perform in concert at the SOMERVILLE THEATRE (55 Davis Square, Somerville, MA - 617-625-4088 . Cook will perform with Chris Church on violin, vocals and flute, Rosendo "Chendy" Leon Arocha on percussion, Dennis Mohammed on bass and Nicolas Hernandez on 2nd guitar. Seven studio albums in fifteen years is, in itself, a measure of Jesse Cook s artistic success. And, for Cooke's most recent recording, The Rumba Foundation, he wanted to trace rumba flamenco back to its roots in Cuba. His instincts though got the better of him and he wound up spending time in Bogota, Colombia. The resulting body of work is sublime, a continuation of Cook s insatiable appetite for world music in all its forms. Tickets priced at $38 and $33 (including $1 restoration fee).

The show will have preview performance on Thursday, February 24th. The show stars Broadway by the Year veterans Carole J. Bufford and Scott Coulter, plus Drama Desk Nominee and current star of NEWSICAL, The Musical, Christina Bianco. Performing 11 O'Clock numbers from across Broadway history from the 1920s to the present, the show is aglow with great music performed at the hour at which they were intended. Elizabeth Up de Graff performs "Dazzle & Bedazzled" at CATALINA BAR & GRILL (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210 - ) on Wednesday, February 23rd at 8:00 pm. An LA native, Elizabeth grew up immersed in the arts. Her father, John Paul Livadary, pioneered the Sound Department at Columbia Pictures and won three Oscars during his illustrious career. Singing live cabaret in a theatrical context is her passion. She loves jazz, blues, comedy and adores French music. She made her cabaret debut at the Gardenia and has performed at the Fine Arts Theater in West LA, Catalina Jazz Club, a Westside Fund Raiser doing an Edith Piaf show sung in French and entertained with a band at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Born in Boston she began her music theory training as a teenager at Berklee and then fell in love with the energy of New York City and went on to gain her BFA from NYU. After that she continued studying music at the Royal Academy in London. Kat lived and worked singing jazz all over England for seven years. She has performed twice at the GRAMMY Awards with the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, has acted in various feature-length independent films, and currently is back in New York performing frequently and exploring the depth of jazz fusion and improvisation with her versatile, extraordinary ear and voice. Also in the cast are Johnny Rodgers (Nightlife, MAC and Bistro Award Winner); Julie Reyburn (Multi MAC, BISTRO, NIGHTLIFE Award winner); Sally Mayes (Broadway/cabaret star and Tony nominee); Laurel Masse (founding member of Manhattan Transfer, Bistro Award winner for Best Jazz Vocalist); Gabrielle Stravelli (Bistro Award Winner - Performer on the Rise); and Lucia Spina (Broadway: Legally Blonde, South Pacific, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Les Miserables) and Jim VanSlyke (Singer/Songwriter/ Voice Teacher). There is a $25 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE ($30 cover for non-members). A $15 food/drink minimum will be collected the night of the show - credit cards accepted. All tickets must be purchased online - no reservations will be taken by the club - no tickets will be available the day of the show or at the door.

For her debut at Feinstein's, Ms. Dinerman will perform songs from her latest album, "Broken Cookies," capturing what Americans are living through right now: love, loss, recovery, frugality during the Recession; our Environment; and apple pie. Her special guest will be guitarist Ann Klein, who has toured with Kate Pierson of The B52's, and as a featured soloist with noted singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco. Annie is an award-winning singer-songwriter whose lyrics reveal a frank, funny and very female point of view. She walks in the footsteps of storytelling artists like Paul Simon and Wendy Waldman. NYC: LINDA LAVIN RETURNS TO BIRDLAND WITH NEW SHOW AND CD

Jim Caruso presents Broadway and television star Linda Lavin in "Possibilities," a concert celebrating her new CD of the same name at BIRDLAND(315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, February 21st at 7:00 pm, as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series, celebrating performers and composers from the Great White Way. Linda Lavin is currently starring in Other Desert Cities at Lincoln Center. Accompanying Linda will be Billy Stritch on piano, Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar, John Brown on bass, Aaron Weinstein on violin and Steve Bakunas on drums. "Possibilities" is the album of jazz standards Linda has always wanted to make. The recording finds Lavin singing and swinging tunes like "Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars," "Two For The Road," "Hey, Look Me Over," and her signature song from It's a Bird... It's a Plane...
