NYC: BEN RIMALOWER: PATTI ISSUES AT ROCKWELL: TABLE & STAGE

The award winning hit cabaret 'Patti Issues' will be performed by Ben Rimalower at ROCKWELL: TABLE & STAGE (1714 Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA - 323-669-1550) on Sunday, March 29th at 7:00 pm. Patti Issues marked Rimalower's debut as a playwright and performer, after serving as the director of numerous Off-Broadway plays, concerts and all-star benefits (and blogging for the Huffington Post). With a mix of comic irreverence, stark candor and show-biz bravado, Patti Issues poignantly explores the challenges facing LGBT parents and children while shining unique light on gay men's time-old obsessions with divas. When Ben Rimalower was eight years old, his father came out of the closet and embarked on a drug-fueled tear that left his family in tatters. Amid the chaos of his young life, Ben found comfort - like so many gay boys before him and after - in musical theater, and specifically in the transportive voice of Broadway star Patti LuPone. Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. "Bad With Money" is written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. Rimalower's first solo show, the long-running hit Patti Issues, explored his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. Bad with Money delves into even deeper personal territory with the story of his struggle with debt - a journey that takes him through drug addiction, prostitution, fraud and multiple betrayals. NYC: DON'T TELL MAMA CELEBRATES KAREN MASON ON MONDAY, MARCH 30th - FINAL SHOW OF MASON AT MAMA'S SERIES

NYC: DON'T TELL MAMA CELEBRATES KAREN MASON ON MARCH 30th - FINAL SHOW OF MASON AT MAMA'S SERIES

DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) will honor the Broadway and cabaret star Karen Mason on Monday, March 30th at 7:00 pm, the final performance of the legendary singer's current ten-show major engagement at the club. Mason, who, with the late great Nancy LaMott, opened the Theater District nightspot in November of 1982, also celebrates her own birthday on that night. Hugging the MARCH IS CABARET MONTH theme, "Mason at Mama's in March" began on March 1st and played the next three Sundays and Mondays: March 15th & 16th; 22nd & 23rd; 29th & 30th. All shows are at 7:00 pm. With music direction by Christopher Denny and stage direction by Barry Kleinbort, Mason's new show delves generously into a treasure trove of classics and original songs she and her longtime musical collaborator Brian Lasser worked on together. It was in a sense the infancy of a new era of cabaret, when genres and styles began to be mixed and the boundaries between cabaret and the theatre began to be blurred. Mason, whose Broadway starring credits include "Mamma Mia," "Sunset Boulevard," "Hairspray," and "Jerome Robbins' Broadway," most recently starred in Frank Wildhorn's "Wonderland." Her most recent single, "It's About Time" (honoring marriage equality), was written by her husband Paul Rolnick and Shelley Markham. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

SAN FRANCISCO: LESLIE JORDAN, BRINGS HIS NEW ONE-MAN SHOW TO FEINSTEIN'S

After leaving audiences in stitches in 2014 with two sold-out engagements, FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) welcomes back Emmy Award winner, Leslie Jordan, for three performances of his new one-man show, 'Say Cheese! My Life in Front of the Camera' • on Thursday & Friday, March 26th & 27th at 8:00 pn; and Sunday, March 29th at 7:00 pm. 'Say Cheese! My Life in front of the Camera' humorously examines Leslie's life in front of the camera • more specifically, his relationship with the camera of good friend and professional photographer Jim Cox. Cox's photos of Leslie and friends are featured prominently as the show's subject matter. Leslie Jordan is one of the most consistently recognizable faces in popular entertainment. His journey towards stardom has provided one of the quirkier, impressive varied career trajectories of the past few decades. His arrival in Hollywood back in 1982 (with $1500 sewn into his clothing by his steel magnolia Mother) was the starting gate. After a brief career as a jockey, Jordan has enjoyed the full show-business spectrum; the lean days, the bumps in the road, the acclaim, reaching the pinnacle of television performing with award recognition, the ensuing victory laps followed by an alarming and unexpected down slope, the dangers of being type cast or stereotyped, the challenges to remain relevant in a rapidly changing world of technological advancement, and the ever present threat of being put "out to pasture" by a youth obsessed culture and industry. Through it all, Leslie Jordan has remained constant, relevant and, above all, funny! His ability to take it all in stride has kept him moving onward and upward, through it all. Leslie Jordan is the prestigious Emmy Award winner in 2006 for "Will & Grace". He has enjoyed rapturous reviews for his original stage plays (My Trip Down the Pink Carpet, Stories I Can't Tell Mama, Fruit Fly), and supporting presence in one of Hollywood's most prestigious, message-minded films of the last decade ("The Help,"2012). He's been singled out with great notices for his off-Broadway musical theatre debut in 2011 ("The Lucky Guy"). His defining role as "Brother Boy" in the cult film sensation "Sordid Lives" evolved into a well-received prequel on the LOGO Channel. As the celebrated author and star of his own HBO Special ("Pink Carpet"); Leslie Jordan remains consistently sought after as a Guest Star on every imaginable form of episodic, comedic television (TV Land's "The Exes", Fox's "Raising Hope," Disney Channel's "Shake it Up!" ABC's "The Neighbors." He enjoyed a star turn in the third season of FX's instant classic "American Horror Story" opposite Hollywood heavyweights Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson and Francis Conroy. He recently appeared in the smash reality competition "Celebrity Big Brother UK". Leslie Jordan has conquered the international stage with sold out runs in Mexico, Canada and the U.K., and remains an in-demand mainstay as a stage/TV/film performer, voice-over artist, fund raiser, spokesperson, out artist, equal rights activist and all around Southern Baptist celebutante. There is a $30-$50 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
