THE TOWN HALL PRESENTS BROADWAY BY THE YEAR 1924
THE TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC - 212-997-1929) presents the opening show of the 9th Season of its BROADWAY BY THE YEAR series with the BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1924 on Monday, February 23rd at 8:00 pm. Directed by Jeffry Denman the show features Marc Kudisch, Sarah Jane Mcmahon, Jeffry Denman, Kendrick Jones, Melinda Sullivan, Erin Denman, Jason Graae, Kevin Worley & more including special guests, The Howard Fishman Quartet. Broadway By The Year, known for great singing and spectacular Broadway dancing, is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel. This edition of the critically acclaimed series will mark the earliest year ever covered, and will include such famous shows as The Student Prince, Rose-Marie, Lady Be Good, Charlot's Revue, I'll Say She Is, The Music Box Revue of 1924, The Grand Street Follies, and more. THOSE INDEFATIGABLE SIEGLES
When it comes to Scott & Barbara Siegel, their energy and enthusiasm for live entertainment seems to have no bounds (when do these folks sleep?). New on the agenda will be "Scott Siegel Presents: BROADWAY JUKEBOX" at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080 ) on Sunday nights at 6:30 pm. Set to kick off on February 8th, with additional shows scheduled for the 15th and then March 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd, the series will showcase talented performers from the worlds of jazz, cabaret, comedy and Broadway. Monday, May 11th: Broadway Musicals of 1944; Monday, June 15th: Broadway Musicals of 1970.
