All BANNER ads for DECEMBER 2009 and JANUARY 2010 on the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE WEBSITE will be billed with an additional 10% discount if banner is paid for using PayPal using a credit/debit card (if you prefer not to, or are unable to use PayPal, please write for alternate payment methods). This offer does NOT apply to sidebar ads. Banner must start its run after November 29th, 2009 and end its run before February 14th, 2010. For 2009-2010 members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE this is in addition to SILVER member rebates and GOLD/SPECIAL member discounts. All banners must be paid in advance of start of run. Just click on the button marked ADVERTISING INFO at the top of every page on the website for information on sizes & types of banners available. Remember, there is a 2-week minimum on all advertising. BANNER COST CUT ENDS ON SATURDAY JULY 4th, 2009
Recession busting price break: Through July 4th we are discontinuing the $10 per week "surcharge" on the cost of the first two weeks of banner ads - meaning that REGULAR BANNER ADS will run just $30 per week and SUPERSIZE just $50 per week. 2-week minimum still applies on all advertising. Write me for details - a few other changes apply. SIDEBAR ads continue at the same $25/week cost.

THINGS THEY ARE A'CHANGING
Talk about changes, we made a big change - effective immediately - in the way we are pricing our banner ads. Through July 4th we will be discontinuing the $10 per week "surcharge" on the cost of the first two weeks of banner ads - meaning that REGULAR BANNER ADS will run just $30 per week and SUPERSIZE just $50 per week. 2-week minimum still applies on all advertising. Write me for details - a few other changes apply. SIDEBAR ads continue at the same $25/week cost. Members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE are also eligible for additional discounts - write for details at banners@svhamstra.com
And we are making some changes in the pricing of our 2009-2010 memberships as well, as we enter our 20th year of publishing (13 years on the web). New memberships go on sale on May 1st in conjunction with the first announcement of our CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE Birthday Party in July.
These changes are being made to make advertising more affordable and/or valuable for cabaret performers and cabaret fans in these rather troubled times, just when you need to promote more to try to fill those rooms. Stay tuned.
I can only keep CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE (3 newsletters a week, 3 websites and a blog) going if folks join as members and/or purchase banners and ads. I am not a wealthy person, and what little extra funds I had were spent long ago to keep CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE going during previous troubled times. So, I have to depend on you - and need to set my prices to what you can afford.

WE LIVE IN AMAZING TIMES!
When I was a teen I worked in the family office in NYC as a messenger/delivery boy during the summer. And when a message had to be sent as quickly as possible to a customer or a salesman or one of our principals in Europe, there was this little gadget on the wall - sort of like an oven timer. You turned the dial and as the internal spring brought it back it made a clicking-clanking sound. It sent a special code by wire to the nearest WESTERN UNION office and a few minutes later someone would arrive to pick up the telegram or cablegram to take it back to be transmitted.
A few minutes ago - seated at my desk - I received an order for an ad for the website from a lady in Australia. I quoted her the price and asked what website to make the link to. She immediately contacted by e-mail her webmaster - in Denmark. Within 15 minutes all was settled - and I even received a PayPal payment! Around the world and back in minutes. Most amazing.
The new ad goes up on Monday. It was our first ad from someone in Australia - I gave her a special discount.
