SOME NEWS - SOME GOOD - SOME SAD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dolores Peterson out in LA - she celebrated it with a birthday show.

And there is a birthday coming up on the 10th that is very important: jazz icon Barbara Lea will turn 80 on Friday. Congratulations! Send her a birthday card or an e-mail if you have a chance - I know that it will be truly appreciated.

SPECIAL SYMPATHY goes out to cabaret singer (but also great cabaret fan - sees just about every show) Stephanie Zagoren, who's father passed away (at age 101) over the weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BARBARA LEA

Barbara Lea has been named one of this year's recipients of the Wellesley College Alumnae Achievement Award to be presented on February 13, 2009. The Wellesley College Alumnae Achievement Award recognizes alumnae who have brought honor to themselves and to Wellesley College through their outstanding achievements.
