PALM SPRINGS, CA: JEROME ELLIOTT BRINGS NEW SHOW TO ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE

Local Palm Springs singer/ actor Jerome Elliott presents his cabaret show, "Greatest Hits, Volume 1" at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) on Sunday, July 31st at 2:00 pm as part of Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Cabaret Concert Series. Jerome Elliott will be joined on stage with his musical director, Charlie Creasy on piano. Jerome Elliott's "Greatest Hits, Volume 1" features highlights from some of his previous shows, including; "Bat Out Of Jersey", "A Dry Heat", "My Favorite Springs", "Crawling Back To Broadway", "Sweet Nerd Of Youth", "Something To Smile About" and "Up In Flames". Audiences can expect Elliott's trademark witty repartee as he performs a program of songs that range from Great American Songbook favorites, Broadway Classics, and Popular Tunes, to some obscure and seldom heard songs - and of course, a spattering of comedy material that his audiences have come to expect. Charlie Creasy once again acts as Jerome's musical director and pianist, and is well known in the desert from his work with other performers as well as with local groups including Bloom In The Desert's annual fundraiser, "Spring Fling Cabaret" Other achievements Jerome is proud of are: a Desert Theatre League Award for his performance in "Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays"; a three-time finalist at McCallum Theatre's Open Call; and his acclaimed one-man tour de force "Miss Gulch Returns" for Desert Ensemble Theatre Company, and numerous performances in cabaret venues, both locally and in Seattle, New York and Los Angeles, and theatrical roles including several for Palm Canyon Theatre. The $11 cash only tickets will be sold at the box office, which opens at 1:00 pm on the day of the show.
