BREAKING NEWS - NYC: LANCE HORNE AND DREW BRODY CELEBRATE THEIR NEW EP "A LITTLE SINGLE" - MAY 11th
FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) will present two of musical theater's most exciting young composers, Lance Horne and Drew Brody, in a special evening on Wednesday, May 11th at 9:30 pm. They are joined by special guest Beth Malone, the Tony Award-nominated star of Broadway's Fun Home. This intimate, one-night-only concert will celebrate their debut recording together, the new EP "A Little Single." The evening features the pair of great friends sharing their music both with each other and the audience, discussing the stories behind the songs and the differences in their writing processes - Lance with his Juilliard training and Drew with his rock/folk background. Horne and Brody will each premiere a song from their musicals in development and will also perform a brand new song written together for this evening. Ms. Malone will sing songs by each of them, with material tailored to her. "A Little Single" – their new EP soon available from Yellow Sound Label on May 11, 2016 – is a collection of personal and poignant new songs performed by the composers themselves. Horne contributes the hilarious number "The Grindr Song" and the poignant title track, a paean to friendship and the great personalities of downtown New York. Brody introduces two compositions of his own, the romantic "Do You Think We Can Dance Now" and the rueful "Saying No To Love." They collaborate on the exuberant song "Wingman," a new twist on the curious and caring nature of the gay community. Call for reservations and cover/minimum information.
