NYC: MARY FOSTER CONKLIN IN CD CELEBRATION AT KATANO - April 14th
Mary Foster Conklin will celebrate her new CD 'PHOTOGRAPHS' at JAZZ AT KATANO (66 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-885-7119) on Thursday, April 14th with sets at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. She will be joined on stage by John diMartino, piano; Marco Panascia, bass; and Vince Chericho, drums. There is a $15 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum. Speaking of radio, Mary will be back on the air this Sunday (and every Sunday) from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on http://www.wfdu.fm. The program is called A Broad Spectrum and offers up an assortment of music by Women Who Inspire - Writers, Composers, Instrumentalists and Vocalists (there will be airplay of male artists too, in the Honorable Men-tion slot).

Harold Sanditen, jazz-cabaret singer and veteran theatre producer, is host of Open Mic Night at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) every Thursday at 10:30 pm, ably supported by regular musicians Michael Roulston on piano and Jonty Fisher on bass. It is always an entertaining evening full of fun and surprise. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.
