NYC: AN EVENING IN NATALIE JOY JOHNSON

THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) presents 'An Evening in Natalie Joy Johnson' Sunday, October 18th at 9:30 pm. She will be accompanied by Brian Nash. Natalie Joy Johnson & Brian Nash recently celebrated the end of a four and a half year long cabaret residence at uptown gay hotspot - Therapy Bar & Grille. They are thrilled to be bringing their signature musical stylings downtown to the Duplex! You can otherwise find Natalie performing eight shows a week on Broadway in the 2013 Tony Award Winning Musical - Kinky Boots. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: SMALL TOWN CONFESSIONS - A NEW PLAY BY PHIL GEOFFREY BOND

Phil Geoffrey Bond brings will debut his new play 'Small Town Confessions' at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Monday, October 19th at 9:30 pm. NYC: SHANA FARR - IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT

Shana Farr brings her acclaimed show 'In the Still of the Night' to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, October 19th at 7:00 pm. Ms. Farr began her career in operetta and musical theater performing critically acclaimed leading roles with the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and most recently, she has been enjoying the intimate world of cabaret. In March 2015, she received the Bistro Award for Outstanding Concept Show for her one-woman musical monologue "In The Still Of The Night." In October 2012, Shana was awarded with the Julie Wilson Award at the Mabel Mercer Foundation's 23rd Annual Cabaret Convention held at Jazz at Lincoln Center. This award is given to a singer who the Foundation sees as "a rising star in the world of cabaret" and is an outstanding interpreter of song. She has performed at the convention for the past three years and and sang in the closing show for the 2016 run at Town Hall, NYC. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: THIS IS YOUR NIGHT! OSCAR T & DIANNE NEW!
This is Your Night! (TM) returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, October 19th at 9:30 pm honoring Oscar T & Dianne New! This is Your Night! (TM), hosted by Metropolitan Room Managing Partner, Bernie Furshpan, is based on a classic premise and profiles a guest honoree who has contributed in some significant way to the NYC Entertainment Industry. It can include, but not limited to: photographers, writers, bloggers, press, promoters, management, publicists, directors, musical directors, producers, etc. The show presents a gift to the honorree, and includes a line-up of entertainment professionals who will share stories, song and comedy about their experiences and ends with a grand finale, a reunion. Scheduled to appear are Carole Bufford, Natalie Douglas, Andrea Marcovicci, Sidney Myer, Mark Nadler, Karen Oberlin, Steve Ross, Elizabeth Sullivan, KT Sullivan, Stacy Sullivan, Tim Sullivan with a few more surprises to be announced! Musical Director: Jon Weber. A portion of the revenue will be given to the Guest of Honor's Charity of Choice. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: PHILLIPA SOO MAKES HER FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW DEBUT

Phillipa Soo, leading lady of the hit musical Hamilton, makes her venue solo debut at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, October 19th at 7:00 pm. A second performance is scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd at 11:30 pm. Before her star turn in Hamilton, for which she won the 2015 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical, Phillipa appeared off-Broadway as Natasha in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Musical Direction by Or Matias. There is a $40-$80 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW PRESENTS THE JULIE JAMES SHOW

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) will present the final encore of The Julie James Show starring SiriusXM Radio Program Director and celebrity host Julie James (Broadway Names with Julie James) on Monday, October 19th at 9:30 pm. Julie spills the showbiz beans with snappy stories and original songs sure to dazzle any musical theatre lover. A fast-paced romp of a variety show with hilarious new songs, long-lost Broadway gems, and an impromptu visit with celebrities in the audience, the show is a delight for Broadway fans and pop culture geeks alike. With new songs by long-time collaborator Aaron Hagan, Julie rolls back the radio curtain on what it takes to run the only 24/7 Broadway radio station in the world while juggling jingles for Howard Stern, working the Red Carpet at the Tonys, and recording chatfests with all her theatre heroes back at the SiriusXM studios. It's a classic evening of favorite tunes with an unconventional style and surprising twists as Julie comes out to the world as the songstress, storyteller, and comedienne she truly is. NYC: IRIS WILLIAMS "I WISH YOU LOVE" AT BIRDLAND
CABARET IN A JAZZ CLUB

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presents singer Iris Williams, known as "The Voice and Soul of Wales," ar BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, October 19th at 7:00 pm. This will be her Birdland debut. A native of Wales, known as the 'Land of Song and Poetry,' Iris is very much drawn musically and lyrically to The American Songbook: the lyrics are mostly stories of love, sadness, happiness, loss, and findings. The composers featured in this show will be Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington, Burton Lane, and more. Art Weiss will be musical directing the concert from piano, with Tom Hubbard on bass and Jeff Brillinger on drums. Williams was born in Wales, and received a scholarship to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama which started her on a career leading to international fame. She returned there in 1996 to be honored as a Fellow of the College. Her success in the United Kingdom is legendary. Her recording of "He Was Beautiful" earned her a gold disc and an invitation by The Queen to perform at the annual Royal Variety Performance. Fourteen Royal Performances followed as well as numerous awards and accolades. In 2004, Iris was awarded an O.B.E. (Order of the British Empire) by the Queen for her contributions in the field of music and for her services to charitable institutions around the world. Iris was the first female entertainer to go to the Falkland Islands, among other locations, and has given over 300 Combined Services Entertainment performances overall. Her clear, distinctive voice and charming sense of humor has entertained royalty and presidents, and she has worked with many top celebrities such as Bob Hope, Rosemary Clooney, Tony Bennett, Sir Tom Jones, and a host of others. Iris now lives in New York. In 2008 she was awarded the highest honor presented by the St. David's Society of New York • the William R Hopkins Award - for her contributions in the field of music and charity around the world. Her love for classic American standards has made her a popular favorite in the US, having performed at the famous Oak Room inthe Algonquin Hotel in NY, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in LA, the Cinegrill in Hollywood, and others too numerous to list. There is a $35 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
