NYC: ANOTHER HUNDRED PEOPLE: SULLIVAN & HARNAR SING SONDHEIM: ACT TWO

KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar return to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) with their new show 'Another Hundred People: Sullivan & Harnar Sing Sondheim: Act Two' on Monday, October 12th at 7:00 pm. Act Two is a companion piece to last summer's Act One "Our Time". Musical Director is Jon Weber and the show is directed by Sondra Lee. As two of the world's most acclaimed cabaret artists, KT Sullivan (Broadway: The Threepenny Opera, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; Cabaret: Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, the Oak Room at the Algonquin, The Kennedy Center) and Jeff Harnar (Cabaret venues across the world including Carnegie Hall, and winner of the 2012 Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award) perform more Sondheim classics giving a new insight into the timeless music of Stephen Sondheim. There is a $30 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: CAPTAIN MJ'S FANTASTIC JOURNEY

Mary Jo McConnell is a veteran performer of such National Tours as: Sister Act, All Shook Up, Beauty and the Beast, and Phantom of the Opera. on Monday, October 11th at 9:30 pm, she makes her NYC cabaret debut at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) in her show 'MJ's Fantastic Journey', a musical memoir celebrating a special birthday. All proceeds benefit The Musical Theatre Factory, a volunteer-based non-profit dedicated to helping musical theatre artists develop and present work. Call for cover/minimum information.

NYC: MICHAEL GARIN - "A PUNCH IN THE MOUTH"

Michael Garin will bring his show "A Punch In The Mouth" to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, October 11th at 9:30 pm. If you've spent any time in New York City after 9:00 p.m. in the last two decades, chances are you're already familiar with Michael Garin. You may have heard him playing piano and singing in such legendary boites as The Monkey Bar, The Rainbow Room, Cafe Feenjon, the Limelight, and Elaine's. With his stage partner, the singer/ comic Mardie Millit, Michael performed weekly at Elaine's for the last three years of the restaurant's life. Satirical, witty, acerbically intelligent, Michael has a number of specialty songs that he's known for. His repertoire is massive and eclectic: everything from Middle Eastern and Yiddish to standards to music from classic and obscure cult films to early rock and R&B. Michael's other credits include running the cabaret and writing original music for the Williamstown Theatre Festival. His two CDs, "The Song of the Alpha Male" and "Tulsa is Just a Slut Spelled Backwards," are available on iTunes. He co-wrote and co-starred in the hit Off-Broadway musical SONG OF SINGAPORE, for which he won both the Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk awards. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE DUPLEX PRESENTS 'AWAKENING EVE'

'Awakening Eve' will be presented at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Monday, October 11th at 7:00 pm. The show describes nine women who are disillusioned after the "happily ever after" they devoted themselves to ends. Only by exploring the remnants and facing the truth can they forge a new beginning. A Taboo Collaborative Production. Written & Directed by Catherine Rogala. There is no cover charge, just a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: BARE: THE REUNION CONCERT AT FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW

On Monday, October 12th, members of the original Los Angeles, New York City, and album casts of Damon Intrabartolo and Jon Hartmere Jr.'s beloved pop opera BARE will reunite at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) in a concert of music from the show. Performances are at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. The cast will be led by the show's original director, Kristin Hanggi, and the original New York production's music director, Jesse Vargas. Members of original New York and Los Angeles casts will also be joined by cast members of the recent New World Stages and Los Angeles productions. The concert will be produced by Benjamin Rauhala.The cast is set to include ... From the 2012 New York Production: Taylor Trensch, Elizabeth Judd, Sara Kapner, Ariana Groover, Justin Gregory Lopez, and Michael Tacconi. From the 2013 Los Angeles Production: Payson Lewis and Jonah Platt. BARE tells the story of a group of high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school facing issues of sexuality and personal identity. As they struggle to come to terms with who they are, and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. This one-night-only concert is presented in memory and in celebration of composer Damon Intrabartolo, who passed away in August of 2013. There is a $50-$95 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
NYC: LYRICALLY, THE SONGS OF ALAN AND MARILYN BERGMAN AT BIRDLAND

"Lyrically, The Songs of Alan and Marilyn Bergman", starring Alan Bergman with Mike Renzi (piano) and David Finck (bass) will be presented at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, October 11th at 6:00 pm as part of the Broadway at Birdland series. The show is a rare and intimate performance by one of the greatest living American songwriter/ lyricists! The songs of Alan and Marilyn Bergman have been enriching the great American songbook for over five decades. As lyricists for film, stage and television, they have created many unforgettable images with their lyrical mastery. Theirs is one of the most successful songwriting collaborations in an era of great popular music. They have earned numerous awards, including 16 Academy Award nominations, multiple Emmys, Grammys, and three Oscars for "The Windmills of Your Mind", "The Way We Were", and the score for "Yentl. There is a $40-$50 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
