PALM SPRINGS, CA: "A COUPLE OF SWELLS" RETURNS TO ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATER
Francesca Amari and Gilmore Rizzo return to THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER(73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) on Sunday, August 30th at 2:00 pm with their hit show, "A Couple Of Swells" for one performance only as part of Les Michael's Sundays In Summer Cabaret Concert Series. The show features music, mayhem, comedy skits and more, with songs spanning several decades in the tradition of great duos like Lucy & Desi, Donny & Marie, George & Gracie, Sonny & Cher, even Kermit & Miss Piggy. "A Couple Of Swells" was part of the Sundays In Summer Series in the 2013 season and was one of the most requested 'please get them back' shows. Francesca Amari is an actress, singer, and voice-over artist, who performs cabaret shows in Palm Springs, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Her show, "You Make Me Laugh: A Love Song to Gilda Radner," has received glowing reviews and delighted audiences in Michigan, Chicago, Los Angeles and Palm Springs and is going to New York City in October. The other swell in the couple is Gilmore Rizzo, a seasoned actor and singer who has performed several times in the desert in his show "That's Amore!" Joining them will be pianist Bryan Miller who recently returned from a very long US tour as conductor and pianist for "I Love Lucy - Live On Stage". There is an $11 cash cover, available at the box office on the day of the show.
