SAN DIEGO, CA: MISS COCO PERU IN "HAVE YOU HEARD?"

Miss Coco Peru returns to MARTINI'S ABOVE FOURTH (3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA - 619-400-4500) with her new show "Have You Heard?" on Wednesday & Thursday, February 25th & 26th at 8:00 pm. Coco Peru loves to reminisce. In fact she's very good at it. In her new show she performs some of her favorite monologues and songs spanning her long career, as well as some new stuff too. Now you can experience the trailblazing queen who elevated drag while still wearing sensible shoes. Miss Coco Peru, aka Clinton Leupp, grew up in the Bronx and got her start as a downtown favorite in the cabaret world of NewYork City in the early 1990s. On screen, Coco is best known for her roles in the films trick and Girls Will Be Girls. For Girls Will Be Girls, Coco shared the Best Actress Award with her co-stars at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival and the Best Actor Award at LA's Outfest Film Festival. Other films: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar; and Straight-Jacket. In the Disney animated feature The Wild, Coco voiced Mamma Hippo! Coming soon, the highly-ish anticipated sequel to Girls Will Be Girls. There is a $25 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

LOS ANGELES, CA: JEFF GOLDBLUM AND THE MILDRED SNITZER ORCHESTRA

Starting on February 25th and every Wednesday in March, jazz pianist/ actor Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra will appear at ROCKWELL: TABLE & STAGE (1714 Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA - 323-669-1550). Goldblum has appeared in major box-office successes including The Fly, Jurassic Park and its sequel Jurassic Park: The Lost World, and Independence Day. He starred as Detective Zach Nichols for the eighth and ninth seasons of the USA Network's crime drama series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He is also an accomplished jazz pianist and declared that if he did not act, he would have become a professional musician. SAN FRANCISCO: PAULA WEST IN EXTENDED RUN AT FEINSTEIN'S

After a sold out run in 2014, Paula West returns to FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) for another winter residency with an all new show featuring an ecletic mix of songs from memorable jazz standards by Cole Porter and Rodgers and Hart to contemporary American classics by Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Performances are Thursdays through Sundays, February 12th through March 22nd = at 8:00 pm on Thursdays & Fridays, and 7:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. There is an additional late night performance on Valentine's Day, February 14th at 10:00 pm. Paula West is a Bay Area favorite, known for her rich and powerful contralto voice. She has released four CDs including "Temptation" (1997) "Restless" (1999) "Come What May" (2001) and "Live at Jazz Standard" (2012). West performs across the Country as well as internationally and has shared stages with Rosemary Clooney, Jimmy Scott, Oscar Brown Jr. Freddy Cole, Mose Allison, Mavis Staples and Dave Frishberg. She has been the featured vocalist with Wynton Marsalis at Jazz at Lincoln Center, performed at the White House and had a sold out debut at the Maison de la Musique in Paris. She'll be joined onstage by her four piece band that includes Adam Schulman and Bruce Barth on piano, Barak Mori and John Witala on bass, Ed Cherry on guitar and Jerome Jennings on drums and, together, they will take their Feinstein's audiences on a musical journey through the ages. There is a $35-$50 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
