SF: SOCIETY CABARET OPENS WITH "AN EVENING WITH MOLLY RINGWALD" - THROUGH SATURDAY
"An Evening with Molly Ringwald" is the inaugural celebrity act to kick-off the opening of San Francisco's newest elegant venue,SOCIETY CABARET AT THE SIR FRANCIS DRAKE(450 Powell Street San Francisco, CA 94102 - 415-395-8595) on Thursday through Saturday, July 11th through 13th at 8:00 pm with an added matinee performance at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 13th. The new venue is housed in the legendary Starlight Room in the Union Square area of San Francisco, which affords 360 degree views of the San Francisco skyline and a bird's eye view of Union Square. The iconic red-headed celebrity, Molly Ringwald, acts, writes books, and sings jazz. She tours "An Evening with Molly Ringwald" to venues Worldwide. An actress of stage and screen, Ringwald earned a Golden Globe nomination at age thirteen, and went on to star in numerous films, including the iconic films Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink. On stage, Ringwald starred in Broadway productions of the Pulitzer Prize winning How I Learned to Drive; the revival of Cabaret; Tony-nominated Enchanted April and the West End production of When Harry Met Sally. Her new album "Except Sometimes" has just recently released this year and Ringwald returns to San Francisco after a sold out CD release engagement at Yoshi's SF earlier this year. This summer, Molly has taken her CD concert tour down under with performances in eight cities in Australia & New Zealand over twenty cities within the United States and as a headliner in the 2013 Montreal Jazz Festival.
