DC: MARCUS JOHNSON AT BLUES ALLEY - LAST SHOWS TONIGHT

DC: MARCUS JOHNSON AT BLUES ALLEY - LAST SHOWS TONIGHT

Marcus Johnson will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, July 11th through 14th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Johnson released his 12th CD titled, "This is How I Rock", in 2011. This album boldly signifies an evolution: Johnson's deliberate crossing into the pop/rock genre with a jazz spin, inspired by some of pop music's most celebrated songs, songs that remained a significant influence in the life of the award-winning keyboardist, composer and producer and motivated his desire to pay tribute to some of the greatest pop hits. Marcus has performed at clubs throughout the United States and has been a featured performer at many jazz festivals, including his hometown Capitol Jazz Festival, the Bermuda Jazz Festival, Atlantic Artscape, the Latin Meets Jazz Festival and the Huntington Beach Jazz Festival. Marcus continues to shine on the keys, behind the board, inside the boardroom, and within the community. He is truly a young man on the move. Call for cover/minimum information.
