TONIGHT NYC: SALUTE TO THE WOMEN OF JAZZ AT 54 BELOW
On Sunday, June 30th at 9:30 pm, 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) tips its hat to the likes of Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday in an evening of smooth tunes from some of the most distinctive young jazz singers performing today. Join Kat Gang, Alexis Cole, Terese Genecco & LaTanya Hall as they wrap their spine-tingling vocals around classics such as That 'Ol Black Magic, What a Difference a Day Makes, Mr. Wonderful & Strange Fruit, accompanied by the Barry Levitt Trio. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
