NYC: ALEXANDER SAGE OYEN & FRIENDS
Hot off the release of his new album, Drafts (Volume One), Alexander Sage Oyen is bringing his songs to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551). This special show will be one night only, on Saturday, January 19th at 11:00 pm. Alexander is a new musical theatre composer/ lyricist and performer. His musicals include Dachau (written with Christopher Metz) and Rebel Verses, which premiered recently in NYC. Other theatrical credits as a performer include Sweeney Todd (opposite Faith Prince and Davis Gaines). As a kid, he was seen rocking it out on VH1's In Search of Danny Partridge (coming in third!). Performers featured are Derek Klena (Dogfight, Carrie), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Taylor Trensch (Bare, Matilda), Emma Hunton (Rent, Spring Awakening), Alex Brightman (Wicked, Glory Days), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hard Body, Godspell), Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening), Matt DeAngelis (Hair, American Idiot), Andrew Kober (Hair), Kennedy Caughell (American Idiot), Noah Galvin (The Great American Mousical), Michael McCorry Rose (Wicked), Lois Sage (John Bucchino's Grateful album), composer Drew Gasparini (Smash), Jessica Kent, Elanna White, Noah Zachary, Max Chernin and Dan Housek. There is a $15-$25 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
