NYC: "GUTLESS & GRATEFUL: A MUSICAL FEAST"

NYC: "GUTLESS & GRATEFUL: A MUSICAL FEAST"

Amy Oestreicher will appear at THE TRIAD (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590 - ) on Fridays, October 19th and 26th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, October 21st at 3:00 pm. Her show is an emotional storytelling experience and captivating cabaret act entitled, "Gutless & Grateful: a musical feast". Amy is only 25 years old, but has quite a story to tell. In April of her High School Senior year, she developed a blod clod, the complications of which resulted in a coma that lasted several months. When she awoke she was told that she didn't have a stomach, could not eat or drink, and no one could tell me when or if I would ever be able to again. It took 24 surgeries and over three years, but she eventually was miraculously reconstructed and with the intestines she had left, given a system that digests food. Recently, Amy was on the TODAY show with Kathie Lee and Hoda for their "Everyone Has A Story" segment. Kathie Lee, along with composer David Friedman, wrote a song for her "Still Alive", which now closes out her act. Amy wrote and co-directed the show along with Jerold Goldstein, the shows lead pianist and David Brunetti, the shows musical director. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
