NYC: "ON THE WAY TO YOU" WITH MARTHA BARTZ & MORY ORTMAN
Vocalist Martha Bartz and Musical Director Mory Ortman present their show "On the Way To You" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, May 18th at 7:00 pm. "On the Way To You" takes the audience on a journey through the American songbook, old and new, portraying a glimpse of the story of how the performers find themselves where they are in life, individually and together. Humor, passion, and emotion combine through great singing and story-telling to create this fun and entertaining hour of music. The music ranges from the standards of Kern, Mancini and Hammerstein to the new compositions of Blumenkrantz, Lopez and Loesel. Martha is a resident of Charlotte, NC, and a Professor of Voice at Catawba College. Mory is the Music Director of the classical and musical theatre summer programs at Quisisana resort in Maine. They are joined by special guest, tenor Michael Paul. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
